Fort Sands’ journey began in Calgary with a simple, determined vision shared by President Bret McKay and COO Zach Jacobs, to build a construction company that truly understands and supports the needs of Condo and Multi-Family properties.

After years of hard work building trusted relationships with Property Managers across Alberta, it became clear that the industry was lacking a partner who could combine reliable craftsmanship with dedicated, hands-on project management. Fort Sands was created to fill that gap.

From day one, our mission has been to ease the workload of Property Managers and Condo Boards by delivering renovation and maintenance solutions they can depend on. Through persistence, long hours, and unwavering commitment, our team pushed forward — and that steady, organic growth has led us to expand beyond Calgary. Today, we proudly operate additional branches in Edmonton and Saskatchewan.

In 2025, Vice President Trent Leinenweber joined the ownership team, bringing exceptional operations and technology expertise that has been pivotal to our continued expansion. With all three owners involved daily in the business, our clients experience a level of personal care, accountability, and responsiveness that is rare in our industry.
